Bringing your bike on a train in Dublin should be easy. But unfortunately it isn’t.
Sure if you’re lucky enough to have a fold-up bike you’ll be grand, but for the rest of us it’s a pain figuring out what stations have bike parking and if you can/can’t bring your bike on board.
So I was delighted to hear my friend Chris Singleton has published a snazzy new Dublin rail map that shows which Dublin train stations have bike parking. And his Dublin Public Transport website also gives handy tips on bringing a bicycle on a bus, Luas or Dart train in Dublin.
I’m a big fan of data visualisation – and this new map is a fantastic example of how good graphic design can make a complex transport network easier to navigate.
